Job summary

Peraton is hiring an Unmanned Underwater Vessel Associate for an on-site role in San Diego, CA. Assigned mission tasking will support data collection and analysis for mine countermeasure objectives in harbor areas and littorals.

UUV operations will be conducted from small boats deployed from shore and from Navy Units Afloat and Forward Operating Bases. This role includes periodic travel CONUS or OCONUS to support UUV testing and evaluation at military bases and government facilities, with travel

Qualifications

• BS degree or a HS diploma with 4+ years of Navy/military training or UUV-related experience.
• Active/Current DoD SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 2 years.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Able to lift and handle equipment per MIL-STD weight limits.
• Valid US driver’s license and US passport.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly on-water UUV missions.
• Perform operational troubleshooting and maintenance on MK18 UUV system and other platforms.
• Travel to 5th, 6th, or 7th Fleet AORs; travel, lodging, and compensation provided.
• Support UUV Testing and Evaluation at various bases and ships.
• Demonstrate proficiency with MS Office products.
• Maintain forklift license (25k and below) and Cat 3 crane certification.
