Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Connecticut is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse in Utilization Management. You will coordinate, monitor, and plan healthcare services across the patient’s illness and continuum of care, collaborating with physicians and care teams.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing school, an active Connecticut RN license, BLS, and 5 years of diversified acute care experience. Per diem, rotating shifts with pay range $36.40–$58.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
• Valid RN license in the state of Connecticut.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Five years of diversified, progressive experience in acute care and/or other settings within the continuum of care.
• Knowledge and understanding of nationally recognized medical utilization criteria, HCFA/OBRA requirements, State of Connecticut regulatory compliance requirements, and JCAHO accreditation standards.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, monitor, and plan healthcare services across the patient’s illness and continuum of care.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure appropriate care plans and transitions.
• Advocate for patients’ well-being throughout utilization management.
