The role involves substituting for paper machine crew members and opportunities to advance into Cylinder Mill machine positions, including stock preparation. Qualifications

• Excellent safety, attendance, quality, and performance history.
• Willing to work overtime, including weekends.
• Ability to manually push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Labor-intensive work history preferred.
• Ability to effectively work with a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow Safe Standard Procedures for all tasks.
• Lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Assist in machine start-up and felting processes.
• Assist with removing broke after sheet breaks or startup.
• Haul rejected rolls to roll splitter and split rolls if necessary.
• Retrieve shipping materials from storage as needed.
• Inspect powered equipment each shift and complete forklift inspection.
• Train on operating forklift and Bobcat.
• Cut wire on waste paper bales.
• Operate guillotine to process scrap rolls.
• Identify grades of waste paper.
• Maintain housekeeping in the assigned area.
