Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable laborer for a mill in East Stroudsburg, PA. The role involves general manual labor: picking up paper, sweeping, cleaning with hand tools, shoveling, handling chemicals, and operating a core cutting machine.

You must be able to lift 50 lbs and read a tape measure. We offer safety-focused work, training for forklift operation, and a tobacco-free facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform general manual labor around the mill, including picking up paper and sweeping floors.
• Clean with various hand tools, shovel materials, and handle chemicals as required.
• Operate core cutting machine to cut cores.
• Move loose paper with a forklift, empty dump hoppers, and transport paper rolls and pallets.
• Read a tape measure and assist with other labor and utility tasks as assigned.

Job description

(Labor position) Must have strong commitment to safety and quality; engaged in all aspects of work; ability to interact well with the team. Perform general manual labor around the mill including picking up paper; sweeping floor; cleaning with various hand tools; shoveling; handling chemicals; operating core cutting machine to cut cores. Worker will need to be able to operate a forklift to move loose paper, empty dump hoppers, transport paper rolls and pallets. All other labor and general utility work as assigned. Needs to be able to lift 50lbs. The worker will need to be able to tolerate an environment that can/will be hot, cold, dirty. The worker must be able to read a tape measure.

A tobacco free facility no smoking, chewing, e-cigs, snuff anywhere on company property including the parking lot and grounds.

While prior forktruck experience would be great, we will train.
