Job summary

Transdev North America in Chicago, IL is seeking a Utility Worker/Service Employee to perform basic vehicle servicing duties with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

The role involves keeping fleet vehicles clean, fueling buses, logging fluids, and light maintenance. Candidates must have a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license with at least 5 years of driving experience. DOT drug testing may apply.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior.
  • Driving, maneuvering, and parking vehicles.
  • Fueling buses, replenishing fluids, and logging and recording all fluids.
  • Downloading drive cameras & probes fare boxes.
  • Perform light maintenance to shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities.
  • Report maintenance issues to supervisor.
  • Other duties as required.

Transdev in Chicago, IL is hiring a Utility Worker/Service Employee. The Utility Worker/Service Employee is required to perform basic vehicle servicing duties. We are looking for customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior

Physical Requirements
  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
