Job summary

Transdev North America in El Cajon, CA is seeking a Utility Worker/Service Employee. The role focuses on basic vehicle servicing, fleet cleanliness, fueling, and light maintenance with an emphasis on safety and customer service.

Starting pay is $22.50 per hour with progression under the collective bargaining agreement over a three-year period. Benefits include vacation, sick leave, health/dental/vision coverage after 90 days, 401k, life insurance, and company holidays.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical per DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior.
  • Driving, maneuvering, and parking vehicles.
  • Fueling buses, replenishing fluids, and logging and recording all fluids.
  • Downloading drive cameras & probes fare boxes.
  • Perform light maintenance to shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities.
  • Report maintenance issues to supervisor.
  • Other duties as required.

Utility Worker/ Service Employee Transdev in El Cajon Ca is hiring a Utility Worker/Service Employee. The Utility Worker/Service Employee is required to perform basic vehicle servicing duties. We are looking for customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

  • $22.50 per hour
  • Starting pay $22.50 with progression based on CBA negotiation over a 3 year period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior
  • Driving, maneuvering, and parking vehicles

Physical Demands

  • Less than 10% of work is accomplished in doors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
  • Greater than 90% of work is accomplished in an open garage facility.
  • Performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms, repetitive hand wrist motion, and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
  • May be asked to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
  • May be exposed to cleaning chemicals, you have access to safety protective gear.
