Job summary

Haleon in Lincoln, NE, is seeking a Facilities/Utilities technician for 2nd shift to maintain equipment and support GMP/SOP compliance. The role emphasizes performing PM tasks, diagnostics, and repairs while documenting work and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • At least 6 months of Facilities/Utilities equipment maintenance experience (or related).
  • Preferred: 3+ years of Facilities/Utilities maintenance experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to perform basic electrical repairs (sensor replacements, motor wiring, etc.).
  • Ability to read specifications, blueprints, engineering drawings and work instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain equipment in compliant state and keep documentation and audit trails.
  • Perform equipment rounds and document critical operating parameters.
  • Execute preventative maintenance (PM) according to schedules.
  • Disassemble equipment to remove parts and repair as needed.
  • Inspect parts for defects and wear; repair or replace components.
  • Reassemble equipment after inspections, testing or repairs.
  • Operate repaired equipment to verify repair adequacy and document work.

Role Responsibilities
  • Maintain equipment in compliant state by ensuring that documentation and audit trail is kept intact and required maintenance is performed.
  • Responsible for equipment rounds and documentation of critical operating parameters.
  • Execute preventative maintenance (PM) instructions based on maintenance schedules.
  • Disassemble equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
  • Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.
  • Repair and replace broken and malfunctioning components.
  • Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
  • Operate newly repaired and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
  • Document the work, parts and materials used to comply with SOPs and Quality requirements.
  • Study blueprints and manufacturers’ manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery.
  • Participate in the planning, installation, and improvement of equipment.
  • Responsible for writing and performing of technical procedures, change controls, and keeping drawings and schematics up to date.
  • Support and meet departmental, plant, and corporate EHS goals.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner.
Basic Qualifications
  • A minimum of a HS Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 6 months of Facilities/Utilities equipment maintenance experience (or related experience) is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years of Facilities/Utilities equipment maintenance experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to repair and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform basic electrical repairs like sensor replacements, electrical connections, motor wiring and others.
  • Demonstrated skill in interpreting and applying specifications, blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions in order to perform installation, repair, and modification work.
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, email, internet).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safety compliance.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Preferred knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) including validation issues and change control processes.
Location

Lincoln, Nebraska. This is not a remote opportunity.

Schedule: 2nd shift, Mon-Fri 2:30p - 11p with occasional weekends and extended hours.
