Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Utility Company Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA. You will serve and safeguard clients and provide exceptional customer service while patrolling assigned areas and responding to security concerns.

You will operate a vehicle in accordance with driving requirements, maintain a visible presence, and follow site protocols. The role requires a valid driver’s license and a background check where applicable.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as required by law.
• Allied Universal may consider applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures and emergency responses.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeters to deter incidents.
• Monitor access control points and report concerns or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly following site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Prepare clear reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and actions.
