Job summary

Allied Universal in San Diego, CA is seeking a Security Officer for Utility Company Mobile Patrol driving. You will perform unarmed security patrols at utility facilities, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service while following site procedures.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to work a 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM shift, and compliance with background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and drug screening are part of employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utility location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of utility facilities, operational areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and report to site contacts and responders.
• Complete reports, daily logs, and incident documentation and communicate observations to supervision and site management.
