Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Site Patrol at a utilities location in Santa Barbara, CA. You will serve clients, monitor and patrol areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support access control while delivering exceptional customer service.

The position is full time, requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and includes background checks and a drug screen. You should be comfortable using a computer or tablet; a valid driver’s license is required only for

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in required reports and logs.
