Job summary

NovaSource Power Services is seeking a Utility Solar Technician I to support the maintenance and operation of a utility-scale PV power plant in the Tucson/Marana area. The role requires monitoring systems, performing testing, and coordinating with site teams to ensure optimal energy generation and equipment reliability.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a readiness to learn via NovaSource Technician Qualification Standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college/technical degree preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a related position.
• Equivalent training in military, utility, or power industry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor PV plant operation through POWIN BESS, BESS systems, SCADA, commissioning, testing and inspection.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and modify AC and DC solar PV systems including inverters, PV modules, transformers, and switchgear.
• Ensure safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and proper documentation are followed.
• Maintain CMMS work orders and communicate with stakeholders.
