Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking a PV & BESS Engineer to support the design and execution of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage projects. You will work with Project Managers and EPC partners to develop high-quality design packages and drive efficient, cost-effective solutions from feasibility through construction.

You will leverage AutoCAD, PVCase, and PVSystem tools to produce interconnection drawings, site plans, and one-line diagrams, while coordinating with cross-functional teams to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; PE license preferred.
• 4–8 years in Renewable Energy with utility-scale Solar/BESS experience.
• Experience with battery sizing, site layout, inverter selection, and protection.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering design and modeling of utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects focusing on performance and cost efficiency.
• Prepare and review drawings, layouts, and electrical schematics using AutoCAD, PVCase, and PVSyst.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to meet design milestones and deliverables.
• Develop construction documents ensuring technical accuracy and standards compliance.
• Support pre-construction and project execution with permitting, procurement, and development teams.
• Contribute to technical reports and feasibility assessments for stakeholders.
• Keep up-to-date on solar and BESS tech and regulatory requirements to improve design.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers and designers as expertise grows.
