Job summary

Atwell, LLC specializes in power generation and delivery, delivering structural design for utility-scale solar, BESS, and substations. The Structural Engineer will develop foundations and steel/concrete designs, coordinating with civil, electrical, and project teams to ensure compliant, high-quality outputs.

You will produce drawings and documents, apply industry standards, and contribute to proposals while advancing project execution across disciplines and sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (ABET accredited).
• Experience leading structural design for utility-scale solar, BESS, and substation projects.
• Proficiency in structural design software and collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design from initiation to completion, coordinating with drafters and engineers.
• Review and finalize technical documents, criteria, and BOMs.
• Ensure designs comply with codes (IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, IEEE, NEC).
• Support proposals with technical scopes and cost estimates.
• Travel as needed for site visits (less than 20%).
