Job summary

Atwell is seeking an experienced Structural Designer to support the design and execution of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System projects within our Power & Energy team. This role focuses on structural design and drafting for renewable energy projects, including PV racking and tracker systems and construction drawing packages.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of structural design or drafting experience and be proficient in AutoCAD, with ability to coordinate with

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent hands-on experience in structural drafting/design.
• Minimum 3+ years of structural design or drafting experience.
• Experience with Solar PV, BESS, or civil infrastructure is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering markups and vendor drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support structural design drawing packages for utility-scale Solar PV and BESS.
• Prepare foundation plans, layouts, racking details, and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers, civil/electrical teams, and project managers.
• Incorporate vendor data, geotechnical info, and client comments into drawings.
• Support IFC packages and construction field activities as needed.
