Ranger Power, a renewable energy development company based in Chicago, IL, seeks a Development Manager to lead the development of utility-scale solar, wind, and storage projects. The role entails coordinating strategy, permitting, landowner relations, and interconnection efforts within a dynamic team.

The candidate will mentor junior developers, manage multiple projects, and ensure timely, accurate project documents and data management while traveling up to 70% domestically.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role with at least 2 years of utility scale solar development experience.
• Project management, organizational, leadership, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team and take the initiative to follow up as needed.
• Up to 70% domestic travel.
• Experience with geospatial tools such as ArcGIS and Google Earth.

Responsabilités

• Project Development: establish development strategy for utility-scale renewable energy projects and drive all aspects of project development (greenfield development, site prospecting, acquisition, site analysis, landowner relations, permitting, interconnection, business development, community outreach).
• Project Management: coordinate with internal resources and third-party consultants to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Leadership: mentor junior developers to support project development across the Ranger portfolio.
• Manage Multiple Tasks Simultaneously: develop and manage several projects at various stages of development under tight deadlines and specific business plans.
• Prepare Quality Work Product: prepare project documents, real estate agreements, reports, presentations, and other work product timely and accurately.
• Organization and Data Management: organize, store, and transmit project information per data management policies.
