Job summary

STV Incorporated in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Utility Coordinator to oversee utility coordination and relocations for NCDOT and municipal projects. You will manage resources to identify conflicts and plan relocations prior to construction.

Responsibilities include coordinating with NCDOT, utility owners and contractors, developing relocation strategies, and QA/QC on relocation packages using MicroStation/OpenRoads. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related experience.
• Must hold a valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Experience with MicroStation v8i and/or OpenRoads Designer is preferred.
• Knowledge of NCDOT policies, regulations and FHWA standards is required.
• Sponsorship is not offered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Develop utility relocation strategies and coordinate removal, relocation, and modification of utilities.
• Interpret highway plans and specifications to identify utility impacts.
• Schedule and conduct utility meetings with NCDOT, utility owners and contractors.
• Prepare agendas and meeting minutes; communicate technical information clearly.
• Prepare and QA/QC relocation plans using MicroStation/OpenRoads; review environmental permits.
