Job summary

STV Group is seeking a Utility Relocation Engineer to join our Water team in Raleigh, NC. The role focuses on designing and coordinating water and wastewater utility relocations for transportation and municipal projects, with interaction across civil disciplines to resolve conflicts.

You will prepare plans, cost estimates, and technical docs, coordinate with DOTs, municipalities, and contractors, and support permitting and ROW activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of civil, water/wastewater, or utility engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience with water/wastewater pipeline design and utility relocation/coordination is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate water and wastewater utility relocations and improvements.
• Identify utility conflicts and develop relocation solutions in coordination with roadway, drainage, and other civil disciplines.
• Prepare utility plans, profiles, specifications, cost estimates, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with NCDOT, municipalities, utility owners, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Review survey and SUE information and support utility conflict resolution throughout design and construction.
• Assist with permitting, easements, right-of-way, and construction-phase coordination.
