Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a Senior Utility Coordinator in the Charlotte, NC area to oversee utility coordination and relocations for NCDOT and municipal projects. The role involves planning relocations, evaluating utility conflicts, and guiding relocation efforts prior to construction.

You will mentor junior staff, maintain client relationships, and support STV’s growth and work-life balance culture across transportation projects in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Must have strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate simultaneous tasks/projects.
• Proficiently and professionally communicate technical information.

Responsibilities

• Develop utility relocations strategies and provide coordination/relocation services to accomplish removal, relocation, and modification of utility facilities.
• Must be able to interpret highway construction plans, drainage summaries, specifications, etc. to identify utility impacts.
• Must have working knowledge of FHWA, NCDOT, Division of Highways policies/regulations/standards and NC General Statutes related to utility relocation.
• Schedule and conduct utility meetings with NCDOT, utility owners, and contractors; prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
• Prepare Environmental Permit drawings and narratives; QA/QC of relocation packages; coordinate with other design disciplines.
