Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a quarry equipment operator in the Mount Vernon area to operate haul trucks and other mobile equipment safely while meeting production goals. You will perform pre-operational checks and report issues promptly.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to environmental regulations as you support quarry operations and maintain daily targets in a dynamic site environment.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Operate haul trucks and other mobile equipment safely and efficiently throughout the quarry.
  • Transport aggregate materials to designated locations while maintaining production goals.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections and report equipment concerns promptly.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
  • Support quarry operations through teamwork, housekeeping, and operational assistance as needed.

Conditions of Employment
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
  • Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
Work Environment
  • Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
