Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a quarry technician to operate haul trucks and other heavy equipment safely at our Mount Vernon, KY site. You will transport aggregates, perform pre-operational inspections, and uphold safety and environmental standards while supporting overall quarry operations.

The role requires practical experience with heavy equipment, strong safety awareness, and good teamwork.

What You'll Be Doing

• Operate haul trucks and other mobile equipment safely and efficiently throughout the quarry.

• Support quarry operations through teamwork, housekeeping, and operational assistance as needed.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
