Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Pasadena, CA seeks a Utility Person to help maintain a safe, clean facility. You will work with the Facility Manager and Maintenance Engineer to perform semi-skilled tasks, manage stock, and support daily operations.

The role requires 2+ years in maintenance or warehouse work, basic tool skills, and forklift experience. Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with competitive compensation and benefits.

• Experience with general hand tools and minor repairs.
• Forklift and mobile equipment operation experience.
• Ability to lift 25+ pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and site equipment.
• Perform light building maintenance: filter replacement, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and waste management.
• Maintain inventories of spare parts; stock parts, equipment, tools, and supplies for maintenance and housekeeping departments.
• Receive, process, and organize warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store).
• Collect and properly dispose of production waste and recycling per site standards.
• Coordinate with vendors, facilities staff, and service providers to minimize disruption to client operations.
• Operate maintenance and cleaning tools and equipment including floor scrubbers, forklifts, and pallet jacks.

Utility Person – JLL

What this job involves:

As a Utility Person, you will play a vital role in ensuring our client's facility in Pasadena operates smoothly and safely. Working closely with the Facility Manager and Facility Maintenance Engineer, you will perform a variety of semi-skilled maintenance tasks, manage warehouse stock and supplies, and support daily operations to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. This hands‑on position is essential to delivering exceptional service and contributing to JLL's commitment to operational excellence.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Assist with completing Preventative Maintenance on HVAC systems and other site equipment.
• Perform light building maintenance including filter replacement, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and waste management.
• Maintain spare and replacement parts inventories; stock parts, equipment, tools, and supplies for maintenance and housekeeping departments.
• Receive, process, and organize warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store).
• Collect and properly dispose of production waste and recycling according to site standards.
• Coordinate with vendors, facilities staff, and service providers to ensure minimal disruption to client operations.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance, warehouse operations, or production support.
• Experience with general hand tools, basic troubleshooting, and minor repairs.
• Forklift and mobile equipment operation experience.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects weighing 25+ pounds.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
• Ability to multitask and work independently or with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of HVAC systems and preventative maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with facility safety procedures and compliance standards.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial facility environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and work orders.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management and work order tracking.

Location: Pasadena, CA

Work Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Salary/Comp: $28.84/hour

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Expected compensation for this position: 60,000.00 – 60,320.00 USD per year // Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
