Qualifications

  • Two years of accounting/finance experience for Analyst II.
  • Experience with GASB, GAAP and NRS guidelines is preferred.

JOB SUMMARY

The Clark County Water Reclamation District is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Utility Operations & Cost-Rate Analyst I/II (Accounting) position. This position will be primarily responsible for:

  • Working with accounting application software such as Oracle EBS, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Receivables.
  • Interpreting and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Preparing accurate financial, statistical and narrative reports.
  • Preparing deposits and other accounting reconciliations.
  • Preparing and reconciling general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts.
  • Performing accounting duties in accordance with GASB, GAAP and NRS guidelines.
Utility Operations & Cost-Rate Analyst I: $34.53 - $50.50 Hourly
Utility Operations & Cost-Rate Analyst II: $38.08 - $55.65 Hourly

This recruitment will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Human Resources.

The Utility Operations & Cost-Rate Analyst I is a flex position. Upon successful completion of the training program and meeting the minimum qualifications of the higher-level class, to include obtaining any required certifications and/or licenses, the successful candidate will be non-competitively promoted to Utility Operations & Cost-Rate Analyst II.

Education and Experience
  • Utility Operations & Cost-Rate Analyst I: Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Utility Operations & Cost-Rate Analyst II: In addition to the above: Two (2) years of professional full-time accounting or finance experience.
  • Full-time professional experience in a related field may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis, up to a maximum of two (2) years.
Licenses/Certifications
  • Specified position may require possession of a valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of appointment.
Background Investigation
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Additional background investigations may be conducted periodically after employment.
Pre-Employment Drug Testing
  • Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug examination.
