Job summary

Plastipak is looking for a Utility Mechanic to keep our facility running safely and efficiently, performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues.

You will maintain boiler, chiller, air systems up to 600psi, and HVAC, while rebuilding parts to minimize downtime and following safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining industrial facility and production systems.
• Strong working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems up to 600psi.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical systems of up to 480v.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and interpret technical documentation.
• Solid understanding of plumbing, airflow systems, and PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Execute, monitor, and continuously improve preventative maintenance plans for critical building and production systems.
• Ensure continuous operation of utility infrastructure including boilers, chillers, air compression systems up to 600psi, and HVAC.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical malfunctions on production and facility equipment.
• Rebuild and fabricate spare parts to minimize downtime.
• Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to support troubleshooting and maintenance procedures.
• Maintain strict compliance with all safety protocols, quality standards, and operational best practices.

SHIFT & COMPENSATION

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Pay: based on experience and skill level
