Job summary

Plastipak is seeking a Process Technician to operate extrusion and blow-molding equipment in a climate-controlled facility. You will monitor settings, perform adjustments for quality containers, and ensure processes meet customer specifications.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year in manufacturing, and relevant technical certification or education. Plastipak emphasizes internal advancement and a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Certification or Secondary Education in Industrial, Electrical, Robotic, Mechanical, or Automotive Technology.
• Or a combination of relevant work experience and education that demonstrates basic mechanical aptitude.

• Operate extrusion & blow-molding equipment in a clean, climate-controlled environment.
• Monitor and adjust settings to produce high-quality plastic containers.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Perform quality checks on bottle weights and dimensions to meet specifications.

As a Process Technician, you operate equipment to manufacture plastic containers for leading consumer brands. You Will

• Operate a variety of top-of-the-line extrusion & blow-molding manufacturing equipment in a clean, safe & climate-controlled environment
• Monitor equipment, making adjustments to settings (heat control, water cooling temperatures, hydraulic pressure, etc.) to produce high‑quality rigid plastic containers
• Troubleshoot equipment & perform routine preventative maintenance
• Assure Plastipak customer requirements are met by performing quality checks for specifications, such as bottle weights & dimensions

You Have

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• One (1) year of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Certification or Secondary Education in Industrial, Electrical, Robotic, Mechanical, or Automotive Technology.
• Or, a combination of relevant work experience and education that demonstrates basic mechanical aptitude and an ability to perform the essential functions and duties of the position.
