Job summary

Unknown is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle upkeep, facilities maintenance, and related projects at our site in North Carolina. The role includes operating equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, painting structures, and performing grounds upkeep.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED, 0–1 year of related experience, and a valid driver’s license. Training will be provided, with additional tasks assigned by supervision as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scissor lifts.
• Follow safety principles including PPE.
• Paint structures and perform upkeep on grounds and landscaping.
• Assist in maintenance of the facilities and related projects.
• Attend training and complete assignments by management.
• May perform other tasks as assigned by supervision.

Job description

Overview

Major Functions: Responsible for maintenance, up-keep, and contracts for MDI Management properties.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm

Responsibilities

• Certified or can become certified to operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, etc.
• Understands Safety principles in areas such as job site safety and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Paints structures, uses hand and power tools, repairs tools and equipment, and performs upkeep on grounds and landscaping.
• Fills in for Battery Changers when needed.
• Assist higher level technicians in maintaining the Safe Quality Food (SQF) program.
• Assist in any project related to maintaining the facilities.
• Attend and successfully complete any training as assigned by management.
• May be required to perform other tasks as assigned by supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 0 to 1 year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High standard of integrity and professionalism.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able bend, twist, and lift to 70 lbs. and pass lifting test
