Job summary

MEC (Mayville Engineering Company, Inc.) is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems in a manufacturing environment. You will support multiple departments, train new associates, and install equipment as needed.

The role requires a High School diploma, at least three years of maintenance experience, proficiency with hand and diagnostic tools, and a working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education and experience.
• Three years of maintenance experience.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine inspections and maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
• Performs minor repairs and preventative maintenance according to procedures to ensure minimal downtime of equipment.
• Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the facility, including doors, windows, and flooring.
• Provides support to other departments regarding process and/or equipment changes.
• Trains and mentors new maintenance associates.
• Installs equipment, components, and systems with and without outside services.
• Identifies and reports potential safety hazards. Applies corrective action(s) as necessary.
• Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, and inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
• Inspects tools, parts, and equipment regularly to ensure good working condition, and requests replacements as needed.
• Follows all safety regulations and wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Other duties as assigned.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Educational Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent education and experience.

Experience Requirements

• Three years of maintenance experience.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Some physical demand; often lifts light to heavy-weight material. Frequent lifting/moving average weight (up to 50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material.
• Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to stand and / or walk constantly over a full work shift on concrete (8-12 hours).
