The City of Victoria TX is seeking a detail-oriented Utility Line Locator to identify and mark water, wastewater, storm sewer, traffic lines and fiber lines to prevent damage during construction.

Under general supervision, you will locate and mark lines, assist contractors, operate valves and meters, and respond to citizen inquiries. The role requires safety awareness and physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED and six months of public works utility experience.
• Knowledge of safety policies, local/state/federal regulations and line locating procedures.
• Ability to read manuals/blueprints and communicate clearly in writing and speech.

Responsabilidades

• Locate and mark water, wastewater, traffic lines, and fiber per requests.
• Assist contractors by identifying unknown lines at worksites.
• Operate valves, meters, and conduits; respond to citizen inquiries.
• Maintain inventory and support on-call duties as assigned.
