Job summary

Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in utility construction, is hiring Utility Laborers for our Rochester, PA operation supporting projects across the greater Pittsburgh area.

A Utility Laborer will assist the crew in completing projects safely, on time, and to customer specifications. Starting pay ranges from $18 to $24 per hour, with commensurate pay based on experience and skills, and comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401k, and profit sharing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; able to read and follow safety instructions.
• Able to stoop, kneel, crouch, dig and reach.
• Capable of lifting and carrying heavy objects.
• Able to climb ladders and work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Willing to work extended hours and occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Work safely as part of the crew; uphold Team Fishel safety values.
• Assist with manual labor tasks and use of power tools as directed by crew leader.
• Perform physically demanding duties in outdoor environments.
• Assist with placing underground pipes and conduits; shovel work.
• Learn and participate in safety training and equipment operation.

Description

Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is hiring Utility Laborers for our Rochester, PA based operation supporting projects across the greater Pittsburgh area. A Utility Laborer at Team Fishel will assist the crew in completing the project safely, on time, and meeting the customer specifications for quality.

Responsibilities

• Work safely as an essential part of our Team. Safety is our number one Core Value.
• Assist as required in all manual labor aspects of the project as directed by the Crew Leader, Foreman, or Supervisor.
• Handle physically demanding construction duties in an outdoor environment.
• Assist crew members in placing underground pipes, conduits, shovel work, and in the operation of power tools.
• Be willing to learn career development skills related to utility construction, including the operation of equipment; Team Fishel will provide on-the-job training in all areas of safety, including flagging certification, tool operation and maintenance.

Requirements & Qualifications

• No previous experience required, training available!
• Must be able to follow instructions.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, dig and reach.
• Must be able to lift, carry and place heavy objects.
• Must be able to climb ladders.
• Must have the ability to work extended hours when needed.
• At least 18 years old with High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Meet all DOT requirements (physical and drug testing).
• Occasional extended travel required (Per Diem paid for all out-of-town projects).
• Starting pay range for this position is $18 - $24 per hour and will be commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience.
