Davey Tree Surgery Co. seeks an experienced Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson to lead a crew servicing Northwestern OH from Findlay to Bowling Green and surrounding areas.

Position offers full-time hourly work with a base rate of $27.00–$29.00 plus experience. CDL required or willing to obtain; valid driver’s license essential. Comprehensive benefits and union considerations apply.

Qualifications

• Line clearance experience or other related tree work.
• CDL holder or willingness to obtain CDL with air brake endorsement.
• Climbing experience and ability to work at height.
• Required: valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2-5 person tree crew in pruning and removal for electric utilities.
• Prune treetops and repair damaged trees safely.
• Remove broken limbs from lines, roofs, and objects.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and pruning guidelines.
• Plan and perform job-site inspections and task execution.
• Maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Mentor and train new employees.

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as an experienced Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson, CDL holder and/or climbing experience preferred, joining our team servicing the Northwestern OH region from Findlay to Bowling Green and surrounding areas.

Job Duties

Lead a 2-5 person tree crew in performing all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers. Including but not limited to:

• Pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal
• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects
• Application of tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines
• Perform job-site inspections with proper planning and execution of assigned work and tasks
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
• Mentor and train new employees

Qualifications

What We're Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Required: valid driver’s license
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement or willingness to obtain
• Required: line clearance experience or other related tree work
• Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional
