Davey Tree Surgery Co. in Hartwell, GA is seeking a Foreman/Foreperson to supervise crews performing utility line clearance and tree trimming for major electric providers. You will direct the crew, manage equipment, and plan daily tasks on site.

The role requires a CDL with airbrake endorsement and experience in electric utility tree trimming, with opportunities for growth within a nationwide, employee-owned company. On-site work in Hartwell, GA is expected.

Qualifications

• Commercial driver’s license with airbrake endorsement required.
• Line clearance certification if working near utility transmission lines.
• ISA Certified Tree Worker certification or willingness to obtain.
• Electric utility tree trimming experience required.
• Pesticide/herbicide licenses are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides crew supervision and line clearing and tree trimming services for major electric utility providers.
• Directs crew members and equipment and plans assigned work.
• Maintains tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Operates as part of a crew with Groundmen and Trimmer/Climber.
• Ensures safe operation and execution of all tasks.

Job Duties

• Provides crew supervision and line clearing and tree trimming services for major electric utility providers
• Services provided include pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal as well as removing broken limbs from wires, roofs, and other objects
• Directs crew members and equipment as well as planning and executing the assigned work and tasks
• Responsible to supervise and assist in the proper maintenance, preparation and operation of all tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts
• Operates as part of a crew with supporting Groundmen and Trimmer/Climber
• Ability to perform all above mentioned functions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
