Job summary

Idaho Materials & Construction, a CRH Company, is seeking a Plant Foreperson for Newton, KS to supervise crews installing utility systems. The role focuses on coordinating daily plans, ensuring safety, and achieving project milestones on varied construction sites.

The candidate should have extensive experience with water, sewer, and storm drain utilities, strong leadership, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Davis Bacon and related wage considerations may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience installing underground wet utilities (water, sewer, storm drain).
• Extensive equipment seat time in utility installation and in-trench work.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site specifications, and plans.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate construction activities of crews for digging, laying out, assembling, and installing pipe and fittings.
• Plan, troubleshoot, schedule daily work, assign priorities, requisition materials and equipment.
• Maintain written records, logs, progress reports, safety and inspection documents.
• Read blueprints and construction drawings; coordinate with project supervisors and engineers.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure on-site safety practices.
