Job summary

APAC Central Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a Pipe Foreperson to supervise sewer, water, storm drain, and underground utility installations on NWA projects. You will lead crews, ensure safety, schedule work, and maintain quality and productivity.

This hands-on leadership role requires experience in trenching, pipe installation, and reading blueprints; travel to project sites is required, and teamwork with inspectors and engineers is essential for successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong background in sewer, water, storm drain, and underground utility construction.
• OSHA excavation standards and trench safety knowledge.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of foreperson or lead experience in utility construction.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crews performing sewer, water, storm drain, and underground utility installations.
• Plan, coordinate, and assign daily work to meet schedule and production goals.
• Oversee excavation, trenching, shoring, dewatering, and backfill operations in compliance with OSHA and project specs.
• Install and inspect PVC, ductile iron, HDPE, concrete, and steel pipe systems, manholes, hydrants, valves, and services.
• Read and interpret blueprints, utility plans, profiles, specifications, and cut sheets.
• Coordinate with inspectors, engineers, subcontractors, and utility locators.
• Conduct daily JHAs and toolbox talks to promote safety.
