Job summary

NG Gilbert Construction, a Townsend Company, is seeking a seasoned Superintendent to lead utility construction operations across diverse projects in New Jersey and surrounding areas. You will direct field crews, manage safety, budgets, and schedules, and build strong customer relationships to deliver safe, on-time, high-quality results.

You’ll coach General Foremen and foremen, coordinate resources, support estimating and bid prep, and drive profitability while maintaining OSHA and company

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in utility construction operations.
• 3+ years supervising multiple crews or frontline supervisors.
• Experience managing customer relationships and operational performance.
• Experience managing budgets, production goals, scheduling, and financial performance.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI Z133 standards, DOT requirements, and utility safety practices.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations across assigned projects and territories.
• Coach, develop, and hold leaders accountable for performance.
• Develop production plans and schedules to meet commitments.
• Monitor productivity, quality, safety, and field performance.
• Build relationships with utility customers and serve as operational point of contact.
• Coordinate personnel, fleet, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
