Job summary

NG Gilbert Construction | A Townsend Company seeks a seasoned Superintendent to lead utility construction operations. You will oversee field crews, coordinate with customers and leadership, and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within contractual requirements.

The role emphasizes budgeting, resource management, and continuous improvement, with emphasis on safety culture and adherence to OSHA, ANSI Z133, and DOT standards. Travel and varied locations are involved.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in utility construction operations.
• Experience supervising multiple crews or frontline supervisors.
• Experience managing budgets, production goals, scheduling, and financial performance.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI Z133, DOT requirements and utility safety practices.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations across projects and territories.
• Coach and develop General Foremen and field leadership.
• Develop production plans to meet customer commitments.
• Monitor productivity, quality, safety, and field performance.
• Build relationships with utility customers and act as operational contact.
• Participate in customer meetings, project reviews, and contract discussions.
• Manage budgets, labor, equipment costs, materials, subcontractors and resources.
• Review job costs and metrics and take corrective action.
• Ensure adherence to contract specs, customer expectations and company standards.
• Support estimating, budgeting, pricing and bid preparation.
• Coordinate personnel, fleet, equipment and subcontractor resources.
• Lead storm restoration and emergency response activities as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.
