Job summary

DeWinter Group is seeking an Estimator to support large-scale electric utility construction projects in Massachusetts through a hybrid consulting engagement.

The role involves developing precise cost estimates across all project phases—engineering, materials, permitting, environmental compliance, labor, and equipment—while working with engineering, project management, construction teams, vendors, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in utility construction estimation.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction methodologies.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office; analytical and math skills required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop precise, defensible cost estimates across all project phases (engineering, materials, permitting, environmental compliance, labor, equipment).
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, construction teams, vendors and stakeholders.
• Prepare and present cost estimates and options to support decision-making.
• Ensure estimates reflect risk, contingencies and project constraints.
