Job summary

Asplundh Engineering Services (AES) seeks an Electrical Estimator to support electric utility infrastructure projects. You will develop distribution designs, project estimates, and construction packages for new installations, upgrades, and reliability improvements.

Collaborating with utility clients, managers, engineers, field personnel, and customers, you will convert requirements into cost-effective, construction-ready solutions while ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in electrical utility design, construction estimating, or related infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and utility design standards.
• Experience with project estimates, cost analyses, engineering documentation, and construction packages.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical distribution designs and construction packages aligned with NESC and client specs.
• Develop estimates, cost analyses, and project documentation for services, upgrades, and interconnections.
• Analyze requirements using utility modeling and design tools to deliver safe, reliable solutions.
• Perform field reviews to gather data and validate design requirements for estimates.
• Prepare construction-ready drawings, equipment specs, and contract documentation.
• Collaborate with utility customers, engineers, managers, contractors, and owners to ensure project success.
