Job summary

Willdan Group, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Estimator to support the preconstruction and estimating team in developing accurate project cost estimates.

This entry-level role involves quantity takeoffs, subcontractor outreach, pricing coordination, and document management under guidance from senior staff. You will gain exposure to all phases of the estimating process, from conceptual budgeting through detailed pricing, while building foundational knowledge of construction methods and procurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• 0-4 years of experience in construction, estimating, engineering, or related field; internship acceptable.
• Basic understanding of construction drawings, specs, building systems, and estimating principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with estimating software or CM platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing project cost estimates across multiple stages of preconstruction.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment from drawings and specs.
