Join a leading energy and utilities organization as an Estimator, supporting large-scale electric utility construction projects through a dynamic hybrid consulting engagement in Massachusetts. This role demands developing precise, defensible cost estimates across all project phases—covering engineering, materials, permitting, environmental compliance, labor, and equipment—while collaborating closely with engineering, project management, construction teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
Ideal candidates will possess proven experience in utility construction estimation, a strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methodologies, and project costing, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites are required.
Bonus qualifications include experience with electric utility infrastructure, utility project management, or risk management, familiarity with Sage Estimating or equivalent software, and knowledge of risk assessment tools like Monte Carlo simulations. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields is preferred; alternatively, an associate degree with relevant experience or at least five years in estimating or project cost roles is acceptable. This onsite position with a hybrid work arrangement offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact utility projects in a collaborative environment.
