City of Pierre is seeking a motivated Utility Billing Technician to join the Finance team. This full-time role handles accurate utility billing, customer inquiries, and maintains all meter/account records and energy assistance contracts.

You will also manage service orders and the Bright Energy Solutions Rebate Program while balancing registers and posting deposits. The position requires strong analysis and customer service skills, with 2+ years in relevant fields.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of customer service, billing, accounting or office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage accurate utility billing and respond to customer concerns with professionalism.
• Maintain meter and utility account records, energy assistance contracts, and service orders.
• Oversee the Bright Energy Solutions Rebate Program and related processes.
• Balance registers and post daily bank deposits as part of Finance duties.
• Utilize systems for data analysis and provide strong customer service.
