Job summary

Ingleside at Rock Creek is seeking On Call Utility Aides/Dishwashers for 4pm-9pm as needed. Primary duties include cleaning and sanitizing dishes and dish room areas, with additional general cleaning and store room tasks. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School or better.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and work flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Processes incoming dirty dishes and loads into the dishwasher for cleaning.
• Washes and sanitizes dishes, pots, and pans for each meal period.
• Returns clean dishes to proper locations in the kitchen area.
• Performs general cleaning and store room duties as assigned.
• Notes chips or breaks in dishes and checks dishwasher cleanliness.

Job Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dishes and the dish room areas. Additional duties include general cleaning duties and store room duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Incumbent should be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form, possess verbal and written communication skills, be available for all meal periods. Be able to lift 50 pounds or less.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processes incoming dirty dishes and loads into the dishwasher for proper cleaning and sanitation.
• Assists in picking up dirty dishes from IL, Health Center and Assisted Living areas and transfers to dishwashing area for cleaning and sanitation.
• Washes and sanitizes all dishes, pots, and pans per each meal period. Loads all dishes in to the dishwasher with proper soap and sanitizer as set forth by the Chef.
• Checks dishwasher to ensure cleanliness prior to loading dishes and cleans dishwasher at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Checks dishes, pots, and pans for cleanliness and sanitation and notes of any chips or breaks in the dishes.
• Fills sink with water and soap to hand wash and china or non dishwasher safe pots and pans. Dries dishes, pots, and pans with appropriate towels or linens.
• Returns clean and sanitized dishes, pots, and pans to proper location within the kitchen area.
