Job summary

Westminster at Lake Ridge is seeking a full-time Utility Aide/Dishwasher in the Lake Ridge, VA area. This role focuses on cleaning and sanitizing dishes and dishroom areas, with additional light cleaning and store room duties.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process incoming dirty dishes and operate the dishwasher.
• Transport dishes to and from dining and health center areas.
• Washes and sanitizes dishes, pots, and pans for each meal period.
• Ensure cleanliness of the dishwasher and work area at start and end of shift.
• Identify chips or breaks in dishes and report as needed.
• Assist with basic store room duties and supplies as assigned.

Job Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dishes and the dish room areas. Additional duties include general cleaning duties and store room duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Incumbent should be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form, possess verbal and written communication skills, be available for all meal periods. Be able to lift 50 pounds or less.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processes incoming dirty dishes and loads into the dishwasher for proper cleaning and sanitation.
• Assists in picking up dirty dishes from IL, Health Center and Assisted Living areas and transfers to dishwashing area for cleaning and sanitation.
• Washes and sanitizes all dishes, pots, and pans per each meal period. Loads all dishes in to the dishwasher with proper soap and sanitizer as set forth by the Chef.
• Checks dishwasher to ensure cleanliness prior to loading dishes and cleans dishwasher at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Checks dishes, pots, and pans for cleanliness and sanitation and notes of any chips or breaks in the dishes.
• Fills sink with water and soap to hand wash and China or non-dishwasher safe pots and pans. Dries dishes, pots, and pans with appropriate towels or linens.
• Returns clean and sanitized dishes, pots, and pans to proper location within the kitchen area.
