University of Vermont is seeking a Utilities Service Tech Assistant to assist with preventative maintenance and repairs of condensate, steam, and heating systems. The role includes installing new equipment, emergency response, EPA documentation, and safe operation of a university vehicle for tool and material transport.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or related vocational courses, or one year of relevant experience, and proficiency with computers and mobile technology.
Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs of condensate, steam, and heating systems. Assist with installing new equipment and providing emergency services when needed. Assist with documentation and document maintenance of EPA required information for specified equipment. Access information utilizing appropriate software. Promote safety practices in the shop and in the field. Operate a university vehicle to transport tools, materials and equipment.
High school diploma with related vocational courses or one year of experience including knowledge of condensate, steam, and or heating systems. Experience using computers and mobile technology required. A valid driver's license or ability to obtain one and drivers check required. Initial employment contingent upon successful completion of background check.
$20.00-$22.00/hour
A probationary period may be required. Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime). This position is ineligible for telework due to the essential functions. Background Check required for this position.
