Job summary

Sun Communities & Sun Outdoors is seeking an Utilities Project Manager in Michigan to plan, manage, and deliver utility infrastructure projects across multiple sites. You will oversee scheduling, permitting, procurement, vendor coordination, budget control, risk mitigation, and quality oversight, with a focus on the water meter installation program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management or Engineering.
• PM certification (PMP, CAPM) is preferred.
• 3+ years of project management in field-based installation or infrastructure.
• Experience building schedules and managing multiple sites.
• Experience coordinating vendors/contractors and handling change orders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage utility infrastructure projects from initiation to closeout.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules with milestones and critical path.
• Coordinate permitting, procurement, vendors, and field crews to meet timelines.
• Track budgets, variances, and change orders; manage risk and quality.
• Provide status updates to leadership and coordinate handoffs to operations.
