Job summary

Metro-Engineering-Solutions seeks a detail-oriented Project Manager to lead complex utility projects from initiation through closeout in our Lansing, MI office.

The role requires coordinating with cross-functional teams, clients, and regulators. On-site presence is three days per week with the remaining days eligible for remote work. PMP preferred; 5+ years of PM and utility experience; proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or General Business.
• 5+ years of project management and utility experience.
• PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of project management: planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure project execution.
• Track and manage project budgets, schedules, and risks.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
• Prepare status reports, forecasts, and presentations for clients and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and industry standards.
• Mentor and support project team members including coordinators and field staff.
