Job summary

Dibble in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Project Engineer (Utilities) to prepare detailed design drawings and contract documents for water and wastewater infrastructure, including wells, distribution systems, storage tanks, booster stations and sewer lift stations. This role requires hydraulic analysis, profile design, and understanding of survey/ ROW requirements.

The position emphasizes leadership to guide design teams, manage schedules and budgets, and communicate with clients.

Qualifications

• Must have a B.S. degree in Engineering, civil preferred.
• 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Registered PE in Arizona or ability to obtain registration within six months.
• Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license or be able to obtain one within 3 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction plans, technical specifications, technical studies and reports.
• Lead small teams of personnel (EIT, designers, and drafters).
• Provide quality reviews of own work and work by EITs/designers.
• Assist project manager in preparing and managing project schedules and budgets.
• Attend and participate in client meetings.
• Assist in developing marketing proposals (technical understanding and approach).
• Assist in construction administration of projects, including reviewing and responding to contractor submittals, RFIs and change orders.
• Represent the Company at industry events and conferences.
