The City of Conroe seeks an Utilities Manager to supervise Water Distribution, Water Production, Water Quality, Wastewater Treatment, and Collection Systems, directing Backflow Prevention and Water Conservation programs and providing technical guidance on utility projects.

The Utilities Manager provides supervision, leadership, planning, managing and the coordination of the activities of the Water Distribution, Water Production, Water Quality, Wastewater Treatment, and Collection Systems. Responsibilities include daily management of the Backflow Prevention Program, Water Conservation Program, and Sanitary Sewer Overflow Program and provide technical advice on all types of Utility projects.
Must have a minimum of 3 years of budgetary experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial position. Minimum 10 years of experience working with or in Public Works projects.
Must possess a valid Texas Class "C" driver's license or higher. Must possess a valid Class "B" Water and Class "III" Wastewater license issued by TCEQ.
Work involves both sedentary administrative tasks and medium physical labor.
