Job summary

The City of Conroe is seeking an experienced Utilities Manager to supervise and coordinate the activities of the Water Distribution, Water Production, Water Quality, Wastewater Treatment, and Collection Systems. The role leads the Backflow Prevention, Water Conservation, and Sanitary Sewer Overflow programs and provides technical advice on utility projects.

Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of budgetary experience, 3 years in a managerial role, and 10 years in public works.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of budgetary experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial position.
• Minimum 10 years of experience working with or in Public Works projects.
• Must possess a valid Texas Class "C" driver's license or higher.
• Must possess a valid Class "B" Water and Class "III" Wastewater license issued by TCEQ.

Responsibilities

• supervise, leadership, planning, managing and the coordination of the activities of the Water Distribution, Water Production, Water Quality, Wastewater Treatment, and Collection Systems.
• Responsibilities include daily management of the Backflow Prevention Program, Water Conservation Program, and Sanitary Sewer Overflow Program and provide technical advice on all types of Utility projects.
