City of Conroe is seeking an Engineering Projects Specialist - Municipal Work to coordinate and provide technical expertise on municipal engineering projects, including roads, water systems, drainage and facilities.
The role collaborates with consultants, contractors, engineers and inspectors to ensure projects stay on schedule and budget while complying with state and federal regulations. A background in construction management or related civil field is preferred.
The Engineering Projects Specialist - Municipal Work is responsible for coordinating, managing, and providing technical expertise on various municipal engineering projects. This role ensures that public infrastructure projects, including roads, water systems, drainage, and facilities, comply with local, state, and federal regulations. The specialist works closely with consultants, contractors, engineers, and inspectors to ensure projects are completed efficiently, within budget, and on schedule
High school diploma or associate of science degree in construction management or related field with civil courses preferred. Minimum of five years related state or local government experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
The work is light and requires the ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: balancing, crouching, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, mental acuity, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, and visual acuity.
Starting salary for this position is $29.80 hourly.
