Job summary

The City of Conroe seeks an Utilities Manager to supervise Water Distribution, Water Production, Water Quality, Wastewater Treatment, and Collection Systems, directing Backflow Prevention and Water Conservation programs and providing technical guidance on utility projects.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in Public Works, 3+ years in a managerial role, budget experience, and valid Texas Class C license plus Class B Water and Class III Wastewater licenses; strong leadership and regulatory

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience working with Public Works projects.
• Minimum 3 years in a managerial position.
• Must possess a valid Texas Class C driver's license or higher.
• Must possess a valid Class B Water and Class III Wastewater license issued by TCEQ.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the Water Distribution, Water Production, Water Quality, Wastewater Treatment, and Collection Systems teams.
• Coordinate Backflow Prevention, Water Conservation, and Sanitary Sewer Overflow programs; provide technical advice on utility projects.
• Plan, manage budgets, and oversee program implementation; communicate results to Directors and stakeholders.
• Evaluate projects, prepare studies and estimates based on site-specific conditions and economic alternatives.
