The City of Conroe seeks an Utilities Manager to supervise and coordinate activities across Water Distribution, Water Production, Water Quality, Wastewater Treatment and Collection Systems. Responsibilities include management of Backflow Prevention, Water Conservation, and Sanitary Sewer Overflow programs along with providing technical guidance on utility projects.
Required are a minimum of 3 years in budgeting, at least 3 years in a managerial role, and 10 years in Public Works.
The Utilities Manager provides supervision, leadership, planning, managing and the coordination of the activities of the Water Distribution, Water Production, Water Quality, Wastewater Treatment, and Collection Systems. Responsibilities include daily management of the Backflow Prevention Program, Water Conservation Program, and Sanitary Sewer Overflow Program and provide technical advice on all types of Utility projects.
Education and Experience:
Must have a minimum of 3 years of budgetary experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial position. Minimum 10 years of experience working with or in Public Works projects.
Must possess a valid Texas Class "C" driver's license or higher. Must possess a valid Class "B" Water and Class "III" Wastewater license issued by TCEQ.
Work involves both sedentary administrative tasks and medium physical labor.
